Women`s Empowerment: Why Outward Beauty Just Isnt Enough | Bomb Dot Com Hair

Bomb Hair + Bomb Soul-Beautiful Inside and Out-  The Women`s Empowerment Issue-Broken Crayons Still Color!

I was inspired to write this blog after a series of traumatic experiences that led to hurt and brokenness that caused me to feel like I completely lost my purpose.

You see I love that i now own a hair company and co-own a faith apparel store not to mention other career and collegiate success...but it WASN'T ALWAYS LIKE THAT!

Listen, I`ve encountered pain from several areas of my life that felt like check points of hurt at the time.

Some of you may know the points I`m referring to. These points typically include heartache usually stemming from a failed personal romantic relationship; Failure from not achieving a goal or milestone that is assumed to be achieved by a certain age for example, obtaining a degree or certification.

These times may also include  a lack in what we desire such as stable  living arrangements- moving out of a parents house or an apartment/ house  with uncomfortable living arrangements.

Lastly these points can include rejection or embarrassment such as a divorce that was publicly humiliating or a demotion or being fired/ let go from a job.

I wont delve into the specific moments in my life of the aforementioned but rather wanted you to to relate because many of us experience hurt, pain, let downs, failure, rejections and adversities of all kinds.

What I realized is that even though we experience these points in our lives -There are periods in our lives where God allows us to experience certain things not to break us, but rather to make us!

The Bible declares in James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

If we don`t undergo the tests of life how do we mature and become complete and whole- not lacking anything? In tests we must persevere- which means to continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty or with little or no prospect of success. The key takeaways here are to continue even in difficulty because there is a purpose that needs to be fulfilled.

Continue in the face opposition- the pressure is only for a moment. Remember what the word  of God says in 2 Corinthians 4:8-10.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

Life is within you! and what is life without purpose? Lets define the word purpose for a moment- the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

What you need to understand is that life is more than just existing! Life is worth living and is purpose-filled regardless of the brokenness you may have encountered in your life time. Just as a crayon -whether or broken or whole - still colors....Its purpose is still valid! Just like yours still is. You are valid! Your dreams are valid, your goals are valid, your vision is valid and your purpose is valid!

God has a plan and a purpose for your life and He`s not concerned about your past. Lets examine Jeremiah 29:11 to exemplify this truth. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God declares a plan already created four you that include prosperity and so much more! How amazing and furthermore mind blowing!

God adorns beauty for our ashes and exudes our purpose in brokenness.  Always remember and never forget you are purposed and broken crayons always have still color! True beauty is more than skin or hair deep! True beauty begins inwardly!
